code 41 problem continues(please read)

guys been battleing this code for two weeks now. this is what i've narrowed it down to. when i jump terminal J(yellow) on the 14 pin coil/ign pack to A-11(yellow) on the ecm connector the code does not set. does this mean the yellow wire is broke or gorunded or is it the ignition module(its a new wells unit) thanks for reading this!

Sounds like an open circuit on the cam sensor signal.

Ohm meter between the two points on each wire with them disconnected from the module and from the ECM will check for proper continuity and resistance if any.

Could be ends of the wires as well, terminations.

If the cable is good upon testing I would suspect pin connections on the module or the ECM.

After that a defective module or ECM.

salavge, thanks for the tips, i can almost rule out with cetainty the ecm or ign module asi have tried know good ones for the other running car. it'm not looking forward to ripping the wiring harness apart...hope its one of the connectors.
