Coil pack cover/emblem?

I was over a locals house today, and he got a Hot-Air motor from a Riv..it looked JUST like the Hot-Air motor, but the Turbo, crossover, headers, and some other stuff was different...one thing that caught my eye was a Emblem on the Coil pack..it covered the whole top of it, and I THINK it said Electronic Spark control or something to that manner....did this come on the 84-85 cars(GN and T-Types)? when I got my car It didnt have it, and I have never seen another 84 at all!

Kevin? you got your car from the dealer...did your car have the emblem?

If I remember correctly my 84 TType had this same cover over the coil pack. It no longer has that because the coil pack has been replaced.

yea thats the same coil pack thats on my 85 now.I know how you fell not a lot of hot airs my way .

Mine has it - or HAD it. I upgraded to the 87 coil pack / module.

The cover is black with chrome writing, I think it says:

COMPUTER
CONTROLLED
COIL
IGNITION

I have my original in the garage, I could take pics when I get home from work...

BFH is on the money. That's exactly what they say on top. Kinda weird they didn't keep putting it on the newer ones considering how proud they were when they came out with 'em. I've seen several hotair cars and all of them had the same one except the 84GN I just got. It has the 86/87 one now. Kinda wish it still had the original style on there. those things are gettin pricey. I got some 84 parts from a guy here in Tally that stripped an 84GN(not to worry, it was a totalled car that had been sitting and rusting away for quite some time. He yanked the engine and put it in his TR-7. I got the rest). He had two of them.....maybe I should pay him a visit to show off my 84GN and see if he wants to get rid of some other stuff......

Kevin? What do you think? Shouldn't be a problem. I have a coil pack cover since I started selling BFH's stuff about a year and a half ago that is still collecting dust here! What's up with you guys? Start buying some of this stuff! <GRIN> I'd also like to come up with a dressup plate to put on the MAF sensor on the hot air cars.
