When I cold start my car, it seems to run really lean and almost die when I hit the gas. Its fine though after it gets warmed up. I was wondering if this might be a computer problem, as I have the stock 85 chip but I have 36lb injectors. Thanks!

The 85 ecm and stock 85 chip cannot run 36ibs injectors. Wake up and see the light-eliminate the 85 ecm and make some real progress. The 85 ecm and 85 chip are a cancer on your car if you want to go faster. My two cents. Brad
Brad, I'm in the process of either getting an 87 computer in there, or possibly thinking of getting an ultrachip for the 85 computer. Is the ultrachip at postons still that bad for the 85? I'm having to budget my money as the ls1 MAF and translator are a fairly expensive pair. Just trying to get it running as good as possible for the time being...

Waldo- I had the Ultra chip from Postons for the 85 and it worked. I would save my money from the chip and go with the 87 ecm and ls1 maf tranlator. In the long run your are going to dump the 85 ecm anyways. Just my two cents. Brad
Now just have to save up some money to get the maf and translator, and a new chip
