I'm going to make this as short as possible, and still try and get my point across. I purchased my GN last year. The engine only had 20K on the rebuild, but wasn't carrying any oil preasure. Just to get it on the road I ordered an ATK long block, added the externals, and have put some miles on it.
Looking over the paperwork that I do have tells me that there was over $1800 done in machine work to the block, and that doesn't include the crank and cam, which were listed seperately.
I was told that the block was bored. I know you all can tell me if the $1800 is quite a bit for the machine work, or is that kind of in the ball park of what your standard machine work will cost.
I know someone can spend all kinds of $$ on a motor, but that just sounded a little high for your normal machining for an overhaul.
Also, would anyone like to venture a guess on the number of horses I'm pulling w/ the combo listed below?

I haven't had my foot into it since I've got a problem w/ the wastegate, but have any of you all heard anything on the ATK blocks, as far as how they compare w/ being as durable as the motors that came out in the GN.

Stock 109 block
1. 2800 stall
2. 42.5 injectors
3. ATR wastegate
4. TE 44
5. CAS 20 (or 21) stock location
6. 3" downpipe
7. Headers
8. TurboTweak chip

Thanks & Blessings,
Jack

Ohhh, 325-350 hp if you have the GNX type exhaust with 2 muffers, maybe 400 425 '#s of torque.

1800$, bored, incuding pistons sounds about right .
