are these numbers ok? front of car
1-150 1-154
2-148 2-146
3-150 3-150
this is when the motor was warm.
the car has 54,100 on it and has fresh valve springs and a double roller timing chain.upgraded rocker shafts. everything else is stock and original. so as long as i keep the main/rod bearings fresh, the motor has a lot more life/track passes in it? let me know your thoughts. thanks

The range looks fine, and what you are most concerned with is consistency. You have a total variation from your strongest cylinder to your weakest of 8 psi. That's about 5%, which is certainly acceptable.

My own engine, with 99k on it seems to be some kind of freak. the boys at GM had a good day, I guess. My range goes from 160-162. How's THAT for consistency!!

He's right about being consistant. HOWEVER, Brand new would show about 145,, SO, 150 would mean you have a little carbon build up,, yeap that's right,, mine was around 165 + with 125k miles on it, and upon disassembly i found the pistons and rings were very carboned up. For what's it's worth, the bearings all looked perfect, even at that mileage,, shows what changing the oil(dino oil) regularly does
