Converting videos?

How to post a video from a VHS tape? Anyone able to do this? Does it have to be digital?

You need some sort of encoder, like a dazzle card or a tv card to make it digital.

And yes, everything on computers are digital, in every way.

I bought a converter recently called the ADS DVD Express. I hook up my camcorder to it and create mpegs on my desktop. It works great and the video comes out excellent . I have also been burning many drag racing DVDs for my friends off of my camcorder on my computer.

All of the new camcorders, miniDV and miniDVD allow you to just plug them into the computer and rip the video from them digitally.

That's true, but it doesn't help if you have an older camcorder or VHS tapes and not a digital camcorder. The product I mentioned will perform the conversion.
