I had my trans freshened up and he sent my 9 1/2 billet art car to get checked out. When I called the convertor place to have it shipped he said he would not guarantee it. There where fins bent, etc. He welded everything and got it freshened but he said it looked bad. I could get a non billet from him for about $650. If I take the mine that he repaired it would be $280. I debating whether to find a used one or go with a pats 10" lockup. Could it handle my combo? Do I just put the Art carr back in? I need to keep the cost down but don't want a convertor that could eat my tranny. I want lock up, I never did lock this one up at the track. This is my daily driver, but it needs to handle mid to high 10s. Any advice?

Mike,
They called me today to fill me in.

How big of a hurry are you in for a converter?

I found me a vigilante 9.5 billet for a good price with the right stall. The convertor guy was really nice. He said he wouldn't charge me, I would just let him keep it. What did you have in mind?

I have a guy who builds a killer converter but his lead time is out there.

Just be sure the Vig is for a 200-4R.
