What do you guys use in the summer and winter seasons as your cooling agent?

I live in Florida where I have no threat of freezing in the summer and fall and the meteorologists make enough fuss in the winter time that you can't help but hear if temperatures will reach freezing. At the moment I'm running the standard 50/50 mix of the green stuff.

My thinking is that I should go to 100% distilled water with some anti-corrosion/cleaning agent (such as RMI-25, etc.) mixed in for the summer months. Then in the winter, switch to 50/50 green stuff and distilled water in addition to the anti-corrosion agent. Whadda ya'll think? How about 75% distilled and 25% green stuff, etc. Opinions?

Well as we all know the distilled water has more capacity to pull heat. The only issue which you seem to be addressing is the corrosive nature of water. If you can find away to eliminate this issue and use a larger ratio of distilled water, you should be better off from a cooling stand point.

Where exactly are you located, aside from the corosive inhibitors the only purpose of antifreeze. As many of you know is to do just that stop the mixture from freezing or slushing up.

I use distilled water and RMI-25 year round. Depending on where in FL you live and if it gets below 30....you may want to run 25% antifreeze in the winter.

I live in North Florida and contrary to what some people may think, we often see temperatures in the low 30s and upper 20s in the peak of winter. I'm asking because I'm doing the F-Body radiator conversion prolly this coming up weekend and will be flushing the entire system. Also, I'm going to attempt at doing a write-up complete with pictures on how to do the conversion, in addition to adding an external oil cooler with aeroquip hoses, etc. since so many people have questions on the F-Body topic. This also means that I will have my stock radiator for sale soon if anybody's interested in a stock rad. There is nothing wrong with it, I just want a real "cool" setup. I generally run temps of ~170-175 on 90+ degree days with the stock setup and fan.
