Cotton Front leak check

I bought a Cotton front mount for a really good price from a good guy on here. I just was wondering can I do a leak check with filling it with water.
Also how much typically does it cost to have them repaired if need be.

you can cao one side and put air pressure in it.Spray soapy water on it to find a leak

cap one side off and fill with air and smoke. You'll find it pretty quick if it leaks.
