on the 20th i put in my new edge racing 3000stall conveter and last night i twisted my driveshaft in half.cool. right after the shaft was done i looked under the car and my crossover pipe was glowing. is this normal car was running pretty hard just before(around 110mph). at idle blm are at 150, as soon as idle is raised and at cruise they go to 110. WOT they're at 128. O2 range 780-810. oh yeah, where can i get a decent shaft. thanks for the help. i love these cars. unopened 87engine, 60lb. inj, bigneck intercooler, hot wired fuel pump, adj. fuel reg. ,cpt61, razors, erics alky chip, 3inch dp.

I put an Inland Empire 3" aluminum driveshaft in my car. It seems to be fine even though it was relatively inexpensive. I read that once you beef up the driveshaft you move your potential failure point somewhere else. One possible place is the pinion yoke so I got a beefier yoke from Inland Empire as well. Depending on which driveshaft loop you have, you may need to change that as well when you move to a 3" driveshaft. I had to switch to a Metco loop.
