I have just bolted down my intake, but mixed up one of the bolts. It was too long to bolt the intake down properly, and the preasure from the other bolt caused the manifold to crack. It did not crack on an intake runner, but near a water cavity. Will I need to replace the manifold if it has penetrated into the water cavity or do you think that a couple of tablets will be able to fix any leaks?

I would yank and weld it to be sure if possible, oil mixing with antifreeze gets costly.

Take no chances, water leaking into the engine will cause major problems.

I have a crack in mine. right in front where the t-stat housing is. I may be able to get away with welding it.

I think you can get a good used one for around a 100 bucks, check here on the boards.

HTH, Jason

The crack doesn't really lead into the engine. it is at the front left corner, right by that first bolt.
