I got an 84GN with 87 IC turbo engine. I am trying to make the cruise control function.
I got the servo, servo brackets, what other parts do I need to make my car function properly?
Are there any installation manuals out there?

I have had cold start problems since I got this car out of Youngstown, NY and I do not believe the cruise control was installed when the engines were swapped.
Could the cruise control not working be a cause for the cold start.
I have replaced just about everything else chasing down this cold start issue.

Please help.

Hi,
My car is an 83, also with 87 drivetrain. I did the swap, which included the entire vehicle harness. The car originally had an earlier generation cruise, and the donor car was not so equipped.I could have attempted to adapt the earlier unit, but they are pretty bad, so I just did without cruise control. There is a sub harness, in addition to the Servo, control module and turn signal lever/control switch. It would be a good idea to check a friend's car for hookup of this, or go to the salvage yard and remove one from any v6 car of proper model year. There will be vacuum system hookup issues, and a dump valve to hook up on the brake pedal switch bracket.
It shouldn't be a big deal to get your cruise system installed, with proper homework and vacuum and wiring diagrams, and maybe a trip to the boneyard. The switch setup on the later systems is multiplexed, so you are dealing with varying resistances onne or two wires that input into the control module, and signal the various commands necessary to operate the cruise control.I used to replace a lot of modules in the 80s, but the electronics are better now, so a new replacement might be ok.
Good luck with your efforts!
