YESTERDAY I TOOK THE BUICK OUT FOR A RIDE AND LEFT AT BOOST. I HAD TIRE SPIN AND WOULD IT NOT HOOK UP. WHILE THEY WERE SPINNG AT A HIGH RPM THE CAR CUT OUT THEN CAME BACK ON. IT HAS DONE THIS IN THE PAST. IS THE REV LIMITER CAUSING THIS OR DO I HAVE A PROBLEM?

sounds like the puck may need to be looked at on your'e turbo but i'm really guessing what do ya mean by "cut out" loss of rpm, then a return of rpm?

What kind of rpm's are you turning when the engine shuts off? What chip are you running?

tt chip, rpms are high, dunno exactly because the boost came on quick. will the rev limiter cause this.

It could, but you have to know what rpm this "cut out" is occurring. Most after market chips will have the rev limiter set anywhere from 5850-6500 rpm's.

Too much ....

alchy in cool or cold weather will cause the same effect, it cools the charge too much and blows out the candle:eek: Reduce it and see if it will make a difference?

Sounds pretty much as though you've been bouncing off the rev limiter.
