What cylinder head would be the best to use for a small block chevy with a turbo? A head with the small (64cc) chamber or the large (76cc) chamber assuming you can get a piston with around 8 to 8.5 :1 comp with either head or does it really matter?

Thank you

if your running on alky only i would run 11 to 1 with the turbo.for a streetcar use the 8.5 to 1.get ya some sb2 heads they seem to work good on a turbo setup i ran afr 220 heads on my 400 small block with 72 cc chambers and ross custom pistons for 8.5 to 1.ran 7.40 1000ft at 134mph on 17lbs of boost non intercooled ,91 mm blowthru setup in a 3100lb car on true 10.5 slicks.had a bad 60 ft 1.45 on that pass also

Bill,

You are not that far from Duttweiler's Shop.
I would suggest driving by and asking a lot of questions.
He is at the nationals this week, but Nick is there.
Make sure what ever heads you go with have nice thick decks.
This will help with gasket retention.

Also are you thinking about a 23* head and what are your power goals?
