damper question

My damper is f'ed up on the sealing surface and I can't find a sleeve for it or another damper. As is always the case I need it now sooooo....my question is this. Does the interuptor ring for the crank sensor come off of mine (it's on the car right now) and if so can I use the damper off of a N/A 3.8 and just swap the interuptor ring over? Any help would be appreciated.

Well, IF you could get the old one off without damage or bending it, and then install it EXACTALLY in the correct position, it would work.

My advise, buy another one or live with the leak.
