At todays Sprint cup race Darrel was presented with his original 1981 Buick Regal to keep in his collection. He won 2 consecutive championships with that car.

They claimed during the broadcast that the car was undefeated. I don't exactly understand what that meant. Every race the car was entered in it won? How many was that?

Easy, they don't race the same car at every track. One particular car might only see a few races during a season, there's a whole stable of cars for each driver in a team. That paricular chassis could easilly have gone undefeated.

But that was a WAY COOL presentation!!!

Ahh. That makes sense. Yep. It was way cool. From what I understood it was the last car he needed to complete his personal collection.

Boy. I just about had a heart attack when I called that link up. The first thing I noticed was the price and for some reason I was expecting a die cast model.

Does anyone else think that DW is the most irritating anouncer in any sport out there? That guy just makes me turn off the sound when he starts yappin!

Ya, for sure.

I used to be a big fan of his during the 80's when he was "the" up and coming star. Somewhere about mid career, he "found Jesus" and his lust for winning and driving syle completely changed. He became a far more timid driver.

That's what I thought too. It would make a nice diecast model. I have the hot wheels version:
