Deep Trans Pan

Getting the trans done in a couple weeks and part of the
Stage 1 upgrades, the tranny guy includes is a moddified
Art Carr deep trans pan to use the 4L60 filter. Anyone running
this pan or a spacer to run this filter. I would like to know if there
is any clearance issues. How low does it hang, etc??? TIA

It's gonna be very low and I'd be real concerned about whacking it. I looked at putting one on and changed my mine. That pan is at least 1 - 1.5" deeper than the stock one, right? The stock one should be OK - just do the TR thing and slightly overfill.

got one on 563, a lonnie diers stage 2 extreme automatics 200 w/ deep pan. rear sump, uses 727 tq. flight filter. It's low, but not too bad.

Don't do it! I put one on back in the early 90's. Only had about 3" of clearance below. Went up a real big curb one time and it bottomed out. Nothing broke luckily. Needless to say later the next day I took it off. Not worth the risk at all.
