Seems like a waste of engineering to me. I actually prefer to have a door that I can hold on to as I exit my car.

Oh well, at the very least you can probably count on seeing "disappearing car doors" in a rap video sometime soon.

That was an engineering experiment Lincoln did many years ago, the car was for sale on ebay awhile back.
