Reputable source.

HTH :)

Looks like you can save upwards of $20.00 with the Ebay vendor, and the quality of his product looks much better. As far as reputable - he has good feedback, I don't know anything about the other guy.

I will be bidding on Ebay - Nice looking kit! And much better online instructions and information.

Thanks for the link, but I'll try my bid with the ones on ebay right now. As of now I have the highest bid. Now don't any of you bid against me :D

FORD Sequential tail lights

James,

It's only important to me that I try my best to share what info I may have on a topic, product, or question. ( What anyone does with it is solely up to them. The more info we all share is helpful to us all in our decision-making. ) I have nothing to "sell" anyone on, only to give help, as I try to do.

Honesty, Quality, & Service are the 3 barest minimums for any source to be considered "reputable", and several of us have been very happy with the source I provided.

If you are pleased with your product after receiving it, then we'll have yet another source for Sequential Tail Lights, and that'll be a good thing to know in the future.

Here's a mini-quiz:

Name as many FORD products as you can with sequential tail-lights:

I'll start...some Thunderbirds, some Cougars...what others?

Maybe he will do a group purchase? We need to find someone on the boards that has bought his kit, or what until you get yours. :)

Hey, forget about sequential taillite signals for "X" amount of dollars. How about sequential front turnsignals for "FREE"!

You know the side marker and the turnsignal flash at alternate times when the turnsignal is engaged. Just wire the innermost parking lite bulb to the side marker and when you engage the turnsignal, your turn signal lites bounce back and forth. It's safer because it's more noticeable. ;)

I have wired up sequential lights to my Regal. Be aware that it's not exactly 'plug n play.' First you construct the delay box, which entails soldering components and wires to a perf board, then mounting it in a project box. Then you have to disassemble your taillights and change the middle socket to a larger (2 filiment) bulb. Then run new wires from the lights into your trunk. Oh, and change you flasher module under the dash to the most expensive HD one available.

Then I got cute and outsmarted myself. I wanted my seq. module to be plug in, so I bought a couple of multi-wire disconnects from the junkyard. I soldered in the disconnects to the stock wiring and the project box. Worked fine...for about 1 week. Then it started getting flakey. Turns out that the circuit is extremely sensitive to resistance and the disconnects were the final straw and drove my circuit over the limit. I eventually soldered the project into my wiring and now they work fine.

There was a board member selling plans for sequential tail lights. I think his name was "Scott4Dmny"
I bought the plans but never did build them. Still on my to do list. The plans were like 10.00 and could supposedly be built for around 30.00 from Radio Shack parts.
HTH,

Thanks for the info - maybe we can track him down. :)

I emailed him - we'll see what he says..

Hello, guys, just thought I'd chime in here. As you know way back, we have been trying to find a producer for these turn signals and Have had a short amount of time. We have been selling copyrighted plans on ebay for almost a year now for these. The guy you listed eariler on this post,
(http://www.foxthundercats.com/sequential/sequential.htm)

Purchased my plans back in june and used them to build his kit. We have found a producer and now it is only a short time now until we have them made. The reason I am posting is that this guy of course used my idea, and I would appreciate no one here supporting him. For the obvious reasons. I have the paypal receipt of him buying them. Respect is the number one reason. Buying in the U.S. is another reason and he is in canada ;) But we purchased his module to see if he indeed stole our idea. He did with adding the led's of course, but his stuff is all homemade. We cut it open and it is a nasty job. Very sloppy soldiering. However, ours is more compact, almost have the width. And the 3 wires from each side will come out of each side of the box, not all out of the center like his. I am just putting points in here for my sales pitch but I am not pushing any bull with you guys. But I personally would like to be the provider of these modules for all you fellow turbo buick members. I will probably list them on ebay at a buy it now price of 50.00. Which is cheaper than him even! And ours will be factory produced! For turbo buick members I am thinking of 40.00 but I need to figure in my costs yet. Just some food for thought for you guys. We even did some investigating on his purchases and see hes buying bulk electonics pieces (led's, resistors, etc.) no matter what brand. And the bulb sockets he sent to me were garbage, they were the metal clamp push in type, no the oem bulb harness that turn and lock into place with weather seal. So you can see the inconsistency. Whatever he will offer we will match it when we are done. I am not sure how long this production process will take. But I wanted to give all of you the 411 before you buy. Thanks!

Scott

Scott,

Thanks for the heads up... I won't bid on any more of his future auctions. Just let us know when you're going to offer that piece for 40 bucks. I'd like to try it...

James

I did notice by looking at his feedback he buys most of his parts off of Ebay in bulk. - Thanks for the heads up!

And since he basically STOLE your idea, I think he sucks. :P

Damn canooks. ;)

Seq. Tail Lites

Scott4DMny, If you have copyrites on your deal, shut him down or ask for your cut on what he's already sold. Music royalty are the same kind of deal.
Not to worry bout' me supportin him either, but if you jump out there to do your own deal, I'm sure or hope, you post it, cause I'd like to add a set to mine, kinda different ;)

Might be tough to fight since he's in Canada.. Best way to fight him is with a better, cheaper product, which doesn't look like a problem for Scott.

Scott, are you the competitor send the emails? :D
Either that or this guy has more enemies than we thought!

From his auction:
IMPORTANT NOTICE: ONE OF MY COMPETITORS HAS TAKEN TO SENDING THREATENING EMAILS TO BIDDERS ON MY ITEMS. EVERY WORD IN THEIR EMAILS ARE UNTRUE (MY FEEDBACK SPEAKS FOR ITSELF). IF YOU RECEIVE ONE OF THESE EMAILS I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE YOUR FORWARDING IT TO ME AT FULLIAUTOMATIXX@ACCESSCABLE.NET SO I CAN FORWARD IT TO THE PROPER AUTHORITIES. THANK YOU.
