I am looking to replace my ATR External wastegate. I have a 3" ATR Downpipe on the car. What is my best option, should I go with the THDP with integral puck and HD stock style actuator.
Or should I go with another brand of External Gate such as the HKS or Innovative Pro-Gate.
As a side note: I am looking for an external W/G that directly bolts up to my ATR Downpipe.
P.S.
Those ATR wastegates stink
Thanks for any help you Turbo Guru's can give me:D

TurboSmart 35mm UltraGate
New offering from TurboSmart.

This is a small unit I found at Precision turbo & engine, Does it have the 2 bolt flange on both ends for a direct bolt up to my ATR wastegate?

Also It is non adjustable, but uses different springs to set boost.
Does this mean I could get a 20# spring and use a bleeder to get 24-25#'s of boost?

The standard one looks like it has a 2 bolt flange on one end and a 4 bolt on the other which I know will not work with my DP.
Unless they have some sort of adapter?

Not much info. On the site about them.

the Turbosmart Ultragate uses a 2 bolt flange for both ports. It is not adjustable, but does come w/ all springs and yes you could use a form of a boost controller to up the boost.

A couple cools facts about the Turbosmart w/g's..
-made entirely of investment cast 253ma stainless, compared to competitors use of inferior metals and sand casting methods. Investment casting is far more precise and will prevent rusting and corrode on the outside of w/g

-the use of 253ma stainless allows the use of race gas without w/g valve collecting deposits and sticking

-uses a one piece valve design that is also made entirely of 253ma stainless

- w/g valve has more lift than anyone else

shoot me an IM if you have any other questions

Find an external gate with ports on both sides of diaphram. Most have this option. You can upgrade to an electronic boost controller that will put boost on the side to keep gate closed untill "X" # of boost is achieved, then shut that off and go to the other side to open it. Some times, gates open to soon. Like the opposite of boost creep. A lot of imort guys take advantage of the dual chambered external gates.
Just my 2c worth.
