DP and Exhaust advise

I am planning on installing a 3" DP and 3" exhaust system in the near future. Curious how many people are running Cottons 3", Gbody 3" or Full Throttle 2 3/4" systems on their cars and if they had to do it over again would they choose the same system or another. Also how much HP increase can you expect to gain by installing a 3" DP and exhaust system?

I can wait to read the replies to this...I am sort of on the same boat. However, I already have a 2 1/2 dual exhaust ATR system with a stock DP. All I gotten so far are mix reviews: stay with stock DP with stock turbo/ no, change no matter what/ oh if you increase boost and then DP is benificial/ get a scanmaster before anything/ and the list goes on.

I'm more confused than ever now!

I already have a scanmaster. I have upgraded the fuel system, with a racetronix FP and hotwire, and an AFPR. I still have to put my RJC plate on, but I am waiting for the 60lb injectors and TT street chip I am getting next week. All my scanmaster numbers are spot on. My next step is the DP and 3" exhaust. Just trying to get some feedback from the people who already have systems.

Go with a 3" (or larger) downpipe, 3" (or larger) high flow cat, and dual 2.5" or (better) dual 3" pipes with low-restriction mufflers. It all depends on how much HP you want to make! I'm told that you should NOT use Flow Master mufflers! Turbo motors don't like exhaust back pressure!

Since you have a low mile minty GN,I would use a Terry Houston DP the gbody is a quality pipe,but it exits real close to your inner fender. Plastic does not like heat and it probably would slightly defrom it over time. A shame on a nice car like yours!

Are TH DP's still available. I thought I read on a thread this week that someone said they were no longer available and the only options were GBODY, SE Turbo, and a few other?

Got 3" terry houston d.p. and the atr dual 3" stainless exhaust with dynomax ultra flows. I don't have any drone sound and I run better through the exhaust than with the dump open.

Tbird V6 sells them on this board. I also have ultraflows with my 2.5 hooker system and love it. There's also used TH's.

does the aluminum pipe people sell now last long???? anybody have this for years and have no problems?
