Drivetrain swap question

To do an intercooled drivetrain swap in an older n/a regal, is the dash wiring/cluster needed? I know the wiring going back to the taillights is different because of the fuel pump.

Short answer no. You will have to add some wiring to the fuse box though for fuel pump and a few other things. What year Regal are you doing the swap?

Its an 81

I’d hate to take the dash apart. Not only is it mint, but I wanna retain all the 81 gauges, or lack thereof.

If you use Caspers Electronics Field Fix harness, you shouldn't have to worry about the Voltage light charging circuit. That's the only dash related item that I can think of, that could affect this type of swap.
