Dual Ball Bearing turbo shaft play

I just received my new 6265s dual ball bearing turbo and I checked the shaft play side to side and it seemed like a lot. Does anyone know what the spec is? I compared the amount of play to a friends ball bearing turbo and it seems to be about the same but it is definately a lot more than my old gt3255 journal bearing turbo.

I was told that the play was normal and that once oil gets into the bearing cartridge,the play will be minimal. Advice came from a reputable source.
