I bought a hig mileage Limited. Have been doing things to it.
Guess it would take time to write.

Anyway I replaced what I thought was all the prblem hoses.

The heater core hose I missed. I also have a GN.
The brass fttings don't kook like my GN's. And have no water valve.

Can anyone help. Nice part is it sits closer to the firewall.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Rob

Make the Limited look like the GN and you should be okay.... I think....

Okay I'll admit it I'm as confused as everone else here.... ;)

I deserved that.

My question on the heater core. Was both cars are turbo's

Same year. The Limited has a heater core, that I've never seen in a turbo car.

My GN has 3 hoses, with water valve. This is by the firewall.

The Limited has to hoses.

I guess with pneumonia, I shouldn't have tried to write.

Can I get a guess on what core is in this white Limited.

Thanks guys. I didn't make any sense. Hope this retifies it.

TIA.......Sorry Rob

So are you saying the Limited is missing heater/water valve. Well, the Limited I picked up is also missing the valve but I figured, the previous owner didn't want to spend the extra bucks to have it replaced!!!!

I have heat (in all three cars)... and I have absolutely no idea what this valve does.

I would assume if it is a turbo car it should have the same setup as the GN.

Look for a possibly removed or capped vacuum line in the area that used to go to the water control valve. Is it there?

That would clue you in that parts were removed and changed out.

If it isn't a turbo car it would have a different sytem.

Thank You Guys

Yes both cars are 87's.
Both are original turbo cars.
Both are filled with paper work.

The Limited I bought because my GN has only 4,400 ORG. MI.

The limited has 153,000 and is going to be my upgraded, street, occasional track car.
The woman I bought this car from. Must have had it replaced.

Going to check for connections. Didn't think of that.
But it does work. I just want all the right pieces.

Again Thanks! Rob

The heater cores are the same on turbo and N/A cars.

Without the valve, you have hot water running through the core at all times, negating any cooling from your A/C, and even w/o the A/C on, it will warm up the cabin.

Sounds to me like she had the heater core replaced and they did a hack job, not using the right core for the car.

You can get the valves new for ~$30.00, and you can make up the hoses..

Kirban and some other vendors also have the nice pre-bent valve hoses to the core and rail.

Gotta find that vacuum line to make it work however. ;)

Thanks so much Guys

I really appreciate this. Epecially since I would want the air.

Thanks so much for your clear explaination.

I'll get the water valve from Kirban. And try to get some
vacumn line.

Very much appreciated........Rob
