Are 86 GN fuel sending units still available from the dealerships? If so, would anyone happen to have a PN? If not, where could I get one quickly/cheaply?

I'm bringing my 86 GN down to my friends shop, and we're pulling the tank to fix a leak, while there we're going to see if we can't get the fuel gauge fixed. The gauge is flopped all the way over to the right, and doesn't read anything anymore. Let me know. Thanks!

Discontinued.:frown: Need to find a used one on here. Aftermarket is available but they cost about $400 from NAPA:eek: I tried a few months ago. I just repaired the one I had. I use to have about 5 of those things laying around. ATR use to sell their double pumpers with a new GM sending unit. Anyone else sell them that I don't know about??

Call Red Armstrong at Quad Air Inc. The number is 440-235-3232. He has them for $194.00.

I have one in my car and it works great! Its the sending unit and hanger assy.

I got a universal GM 90 ohm fuel level unit from J. Whitney for about $20 and transfered the plastic sender rheostat from the new unit to the factory hanger. It worked great for me.

Last time I suggested this, someone said it didn't fit their unit, maybe J.C. Whitney they changed vendors ?

Also get a new gasket & locking ring and new fuel lines.

Good luck.

Bob
