I am going to 72's. Still using Stock ECM. Do I need to mod this thing or not. Some say yes, some say no. Experts, Help!

Yes, the 72's are low impedance and require that the drivers in the ecm be replaced.

Yes.

Do a search for Bob Bailey. I hear he does good work.

iJames (posted above) might do ECM mods as well. Not sure though. He makes some nice chips though.

-Banning.

An unmodded ECM will work with the low imp injs. Well for a while anyways. Till the ECM burns up.

So yes, look up Bob Bailey and get the mod done. :D

Darn good idea. You don't want to find out under boost that an injector driver just shut down or went funky.:(

Yes you will need it modded. Red Armstrong @ Quad Air does it for $135. Here is his #(440)-235-3232

I thought it was the injectors that burned up not the ECM.

No it will eventually burn out the drivers for the injectors. If yo have larger hihg imp injs (like 36's or bigger) reach your hand down there and feel the ECM some time. It gets kinda hot.
