does any one have some kind of chart or know where there is one posted to indicate what your EGT gauge should read at certain boost levels to determine how much more/less fuel to add

@ 15psi it gets up around the 1100 deg 95 oct fuel

When I still had my WE4, I would regularly see 1600°-1630° in 3rd, running 25 psi on straight c-16.

if I understand correctly the hotter the EGT the leaner the fuel at a set boost and the more fuel you add at that set boost the EGT should cool down ?

Ist off where did you mount the probe , you have it near the O2 im assuming . 1500-1600s is normal . 1100 would be way FAT on the fuel . In my car its arounr 1550-1600 and thats on 93 , 116 or even using Nitrous . Scanmaster is showing high 7s on the MVs swith those temps . Alot of things can affect the EGTs though . Cam , timming , fuel etc .

you can also get high egt readings if you are overly rich........fuel actually burns in the manifold and raises egt

EGT tells you were you are relative to the thermal limits of the engine. You can start doing bad thing at ~1,700dF. I've seen turbine wheels actually crystalize and explode at just over 2,000dF.

Peak EGT occurs at Stoich..

Rich or lean of stoich drops the temps..

It's generally just considered safe to add fuel if you're getting too hot, but it's not a real good AFR guage.

Retarded timing can also drive up EGTs.

EGTs, a WB, a stop watch, and reading plugs is what it takes to dial in a tune correctly.

My EGT probe is mounted in the stock location for the O2 and I had my O2 put in the down pipe
under boost the scanmaster is showing 800+ mv
how can I lean it out a little and can I do it through the MAF translater box
the car runs great at 15psi no one has passed me YET on the street ha ha no times at the strip dont have a good set of tires and im still having problems with my brakes I switched over to vacume hole nother story
