I installed the probe across from the o2 but do you have to take the plug off the braided line to get it in the car thanks

Unless you can find a way to push a 1' wide plug through an itty bitty hole I'd say so...

i did it just pull ruber grommet out of firewall (engine side)push probe through grommet towards firewall then thruogh firewall then replace grommet into firewall.
