EGT with Barier coated Headers

Folks still consider an EGT of 1,500-1,600 as about right, even when using the Poston, or other Barrier coated headers?.

When I installed my new HPC coated headers they were nice and shiney! Few runs and they are dulled in most areas and the DP outlet curve is the worst. So not sure how much of a "barrier" this presents?

My EGT's run in the 16-1700's if this is any help in answering your question? Did not see any EGT temp difference before and after coating.
