Hi Jan,

Good to hear from you again. We emailed a while back, I think in 2005 or 2004.

I have such a device myself - someone gave it to me - they made it from an old *distributor*, not a cam sensor. All you need to do is make it so you can attach a drill to the rotating shaft. Maybe if you remove the screw that holds the cam sensor ring thats under the black cap, put in a longer screw and screw it in till it bottoms out (maybe put a nut on top to lock it down too). Cut the head off the screw, then grunch your drill jaws down on the screw, that might work?

AutoZone has one in their loan-a-tool section..... It is for a SBC, but works just fine.

Thx Guys, I'll look at doing my own from my old cam sensor assy ... cheaper than ordering from the US (I'm in the UK) ... I'll let you know what I come up with.

Easy

Remove the shaft and gear from your old, no good cam sensor. Take a junkyard Buick distributor and simply remove the gear and pull out the shaft. cut off the top of the shaft where the weights attach. Install the cam sensor body into the front cover, drop in the shaft to engage the oil pump flats and chuck the top of the shaft into an electric drill.

Your basic $2 oil prime tool.
