engine rebuild suggestions

i have a stock 109. i have bought all 4 steel mains?? i know they need to be line bored but should there be a torque plate used during this machining? also the cylinders im not boreing just a lite hone is the torgue plate nessicary. any other tips i need for the block im also opening up the 2 center main oil passages to 3/8.

If it were my block I would use the torque plates in the honing process.

I would not open up the 2 center main oil passages to 3/8.
opinions will vary.
 
A torque plate is the only way to fly..;) There would be to much play without one.. I would never consider a rebuild without a torque plate.. Make sure your engine builder has one for a v6.. If he dosn't make sure he gets one..

Who is doing your rebuild?? If he has no expierance building these motors, make sure you give him all the bearing clearance, head torque specks, so on and so forth..;) I would get ahold of a builder on this sight, and have him give you the specks your builder will need.. Some guys will frown:( when you do this, but better that than taking it in for a second, or third rebuild..
