Engine Rebuild

Anyone know who makes the best rebuild kits. I have the motor all apart and it has probably 50,000 miles on it since its been rebuilt. Anyone make a good kit with pistons, rings, rods and all the good stuff? Anything else i should do before putting it all back together?

If your just looking for something a little better than stock, I would
try Summit Racing or Jegs, they carrier complete rebuild kits at a
reasonable price. You should also take your block/crank/heads to
a reputable machine shop and have them checked of course. HTH

What is the reason for the rebuild? I just freshened a shortblock to put in mine. I bought rings and bearings, rehoned the cylinder walls and put it back together.

Well, we decided to put pistons and rings in it so i figured, why not just buy a whole package and put everything in there and i was wondering if their was anyone out there that's definately better than stock and comes in a kit one that makes more horsepower
