Though hard metal fits the car, I listen to Americana/acoustic music as I have mellowed out.

Blwn87...anything that makes you want to beat the *** out of something? Heh, you are a sick pup! (kidding)
Why don't you have Slayer or SOD on your list?
I don't like the 80's hair bands, but other than that, I like most of what has already been mentioned - with special nods to Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Doors (and Slayer and SOD).

I'm still into classic rock, blues, and some outlaw country.

My favorites, like several others:

Lynyrd Skynyrd (w/ Ronnie, not the later version)

Led Zeppelin

Stevie Ray Vaughan

Jimi Hendrix

The king of Surf Guitar!

DIC DALE

whats up with this, I cant spell his first name correctly..it blocks it

If I could only have ONE band to listen to, it absolutely, positively would be Led Zeppelin.

If I could only listen to one album of theirs, it would be their fourth album (sometimes erroneously referred to as "Zoso"), the one that has Stairway on it.

Nobody else compares to Zep - nobody.

I noticed many mentions of Audioslave and only one Rage Against the Machine, and Soundgarden. Rage fricken rocks. Also Led Zepplin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, System of a Down, rap especially 3-6 mafia and ugk, Audioslave, Metallica's old stuff, OOOOOHHHHH YEEAAAH i almost forgot AC/DC, the strokes, many many more i pretty much like everything.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST MR. HANK WILLIAMS JR.:D

Wow! That's funny that you mention that because they are the opening act for Slipknot, Fear Factory and Chimaira tomorrow night at the Jagermeister show! I'll be seeing them.....after I drive 7 hours to get to Mesa, AZ because the tour didn't stop in Albuquerque! Oh well, a scenic drive, a hotel room in AZ, another nice drive back....and all the while--away from the wife!

Yep, I'll be checking out DevilDriver live tomorrow night!

P.S. What is the Devildriver video that has been getting played on the Headbanger's Ball? Whatever that is, I've seen it and it sounded real good.
