Ok first off, I dont have a gn, but ive been lurking around this board for quite some time now and I think you guys can probably help me out. I drive a Turbocharged Saturn (ok, you can stop laughing now :D ) The car runs great, and while i was running open downpipe with a ball bearing t28, i've not switched to a ball bearing t28/t04s with .70AR. Im still running open 2" down pipe since we have not decided on the exhaust yet. That leads to the following question, the t28 was at full spool by 2200rpm, this larger t28/t04s is not full spool till about 3000. What would you guys believe to be better off going with a 2.25" exhaust like i did when i was running all motor+nitrous to reduce lag, or go up to 2.5" +? Thanks for the help in advance, im just wanting to pick some brains here.

Go with the flow

I'm going to say, go as big as you can within reason. Too big and all you're doing is adding weight. I don't know how much power you are making, but I'm going to guess a single 2.5" would be good. Our cars have gone deep into the 10's or better with just a single 3" pipe and I'm going to guess you are running about half the displacement but prob turning higher RPM's. And since you are running a 2" downpipe, I'm guessing that will be your biggest bottleneck in flow. Good luck.
