What are signs of a failing o2 sensor? My car sputters and backfires at very light throttle only in overdrive. It started after running a tank of 104 unleaded. My block learn #'s are 105 # idle. Could be a cracked header, but couldn't it be the o2 sensor going out. thanks

anyone?

Can anyone chim in on this? I tried a good maf and adjusted the tps. I already ordered a Denso o2 sensor today so I guess I'll find out soon for myself. I just want to know anyones experiences with o2 sensors failing or going bad.

104 will kill an o2 over time.Slow counts on scan master is a good sign of dying sensor.

buy a heated o2 censor from poston. i ran 116 and blew it after a few gallons. one thing i noticed after i blew it was i could get really crappy gas milage. ive had my heated o2 for a couple of years and never a problem

o2 didn't work

new denso o2 installed over the weekend. The problem is still there, but the car does seem to run better. I guess I'll take smithgn's advice and check for the cracked header problem. If that's not the culprit, I'm out of ideas. blm's on scanmaster are still 105.
How long does it take and how hard is it to remove the drivers side header?
