Does anyone know where I can buy a coolant fan delay relay? And what sort of pricing to expect?
GM part# 25527402

Fan isn't working...

The relay has been discontinued from GM for a few months now, there are some dealers that still have them in stock so get it while you still can.

the delay relay has nothing to do with the fan if its not working ,
you can unplug the relay and toss it in the trunk and the fan will still work as the should , the delay relay wont be the cause for the fan not turning on , it generally fails and keeps the fan running which drains the battery

try the low speed fan relay which is the smaller relay next to the delay relay

even if the relay for low was bad the fan would still come on at 200 degrees or so because the overheat switch would turn on the high speed relay

try supplying 12 v to the fan and see if it works

"""try supplying 12 v to the fan and see if it works"""

Can't you just add a ground to the green wire that goes to the temp sensor on the top/front of the intake manifold to make the fan run? I did this to be able to manully run the fan in high whenever I choose.

I suppose I can wire it myself... I was just concerned because I hit the 190's the other day with no fan coming on at all. I wanted to have the fan come on at the ecm's discretion because if I have to do it, I might forget...

I can tell you this. My fan wasnt working either, and it turned out to be both the high speed and low speed relays. Not a great chance that both went but they did. I hardly drive the car so I cant say when they crapped out. Could've been over the winter some time. If your sensor works, and the fan works, its probably the relays.
