Does anyone know what times the fastest t-top cars are running and when would be the point when it would be time to do a body swap(solid roof or alternate body)?

Its also a WE4,not a GN.LV GN aka Len Freeman just ran mid 9's with his t top GN.I think Chris C's car might be a t top too.Dont know.

yeah, I never noticed chris chows car has t-tops but your right. Guess I'm safe to start working on hooking up. I just put in GN1s and my 60' went from bad to worse. I just wasn't sure how much of a launch the car could take.

Just be sure to buy as much body bracing as you can get your hands on, esp. the GNX braces. And, of course, get solid lower control arms, etc...

You should email one of them and ask if the T tops have been RTV'd or glued to the car so they won't pop off.

Some fast folks do that for insurance.

Chris's WE4 has gone 8.3 @ 167 and 1.29 60s.
It now has a spool, neal chance converter and better gear ratio.
Look for 7 seconds with t tops this year!

IMO Chris Chows car rocks! Did a great job turning it into what it is today! And yes it's a T-Top car. All you had to do was click the link from my first post and you can see the T Tops clear as day on Chris's car. Even tho it's a V8 it's still a "Turbo Buick" no matter how you look at it! Chris you leave that V8 right where it belongs.. in that car! Can't wait to see it in action one day. Gee I don't even know the guy!

Please not this debate again.
I don't post about Chris anymore unless someone brings
up his name. Sorry if I upset someone.

Well it is a turbo and it is a Buick.. so we could leave it at that.. but then again it's powered by a GM motor.. so all roads lead to Turbo Buick, GM, or just a fast ass WE4! :) When people go to the track to watch and they see a black GN with T tops, ;) going down the track in 8 seconds. I'm sure they don't care it's a small block chev under the hood.. After my girl has seen Chris's car go in the 8's she don't give 2 ****s what's under the hood she just wants mine to do the same now! :) Rock on Chris Chow!

IMO it's nice to see something different out there.. and I love the twin turbo's poking out of the hood! It's nice to see someone be creative once in a while! :)

i think its cool because of his idea, i am sure that building that car was not easy. I am just giving my opinion that it should be in its own class. The turbo six logo is representing something, ( i know his car is not a gn and doesnt have turbo six logos but still) and what its representing is all us guys trying to achieve things with a six cylinder engine and its not fair when someone has the advantage of having two more cylinders and gets put in the same class and is considered part of the same group that other guys are doing without the same advantage.

my opinion of some REAL kickass turbo buicks are
Jason Cramers car
Carl Hartlines car
Russ Meritts car (i know its not as fast but its beautiful)
Jack Cottons car
Louie Lopezs car

and i am sure theres many i forgot, i am not trying to affend anyone or steal credit from Chris Chow (though it may seem like it) i am just stating my opinion, and my opinion is that Chris's car is better represented as a mall block ford (dont even know what engine is, sorry) powered car than a turbo buick, thank you
