I am going to put a gasket on the passenger's side header.I have heard the 1400's are a much better gasket for Turbo Regal. They last much longer then the cheaper stock ones.Anyway what side of the metal part of the gasket does it go to> the cylinder head or the header??? Anyway on the paper side of the gasket i was going to use copper sealant. Is there a reason why some guys don't use any sealant here, they just torque the bolts down???Is it 38 lbs of torque also??? I want the gasket to last as long as possible because it is my daily driver. Thanks

Can't answer most of the post as I don't need header gaskets.

With gaskets, they are responsible for the seal. Copper is never necessary but some use it for insurance. I don't use it and haven't had a problem. The stuff is only rated to 700* so I don't bother.

37 ft lbs is the stock torque spec.
