Picked this up last November, just in time to store it away. Everything is pretty much stock, just freshened up the entire suspension and body with all UMI tubular front upper + lower control arms with longer upper ball joints, front + rear sway bars, drive shaft loop, rear tubular lower control arms, upper double adjustable control arms, linked rear upper+lower control arm mounts, Shock tower brace, all poly bushings, speed tech coilover conversion for rear, Viking double adjustable coilover shocks on all four corners. Moser rear end girdle. Kirbans X braces for rear seat, kirbans fender braces and front end triangulation brace, That's all installed, just got a LS1 MAF with translator and 3 1/2" pipe as well as TPS TEC, TE-44 turbo, RJC PVC, valve cover breather, just waiting to install all that stuff once I get everything I need together.

Very nice. Congrats. Great to see some of the younger generation having an appreciation for these cars.

So tell us . . What got you into TR's? I am sure many of your friends are into the newer cars.

Those are actually my kids. Lol however my son loves this car as much as I do, I'm actually 36. My mom's neighbor had a 1987 Buick grand national with t-tops and the old school tinted headlight covers and American racing outlaw 1 wheels on it. I still remember the day he told me he was getting rid of his IROC-Z to get a Buick. As a 15 year old boy you can imagine how upset I was. Until I saw the Buick and he took me for a ride in that thing. Ever since then I wanted one of my own. Finally I was able to make it happen November 8th last year. I got my own 87 t-top GN. Needs a few odds and ends. But a great start. I knew the history like the back of my hand, now I keep talking and reading post from the guys on this forum and learning a whole new spectrum on how to make mine better. Most of the stuff I have acquired for the car came from guys on here. They keep taking my money. Lol.

Congrats !!
Looks like you are off to a great start ....Enjoy

Cool looks like a nice ride, I'm up in the NW corner of the state, give me a shout if you ever need a hand...Mike

I'm going to assume your name is mike as well, do you ever come down for the Oakland beach car shows on Tuesdays? They also have one on Fridays at the rocky point chowder house in the old ann&hope parking lot on Fridays.

I went to Oakland beach a couple times last year, haven't been to Ann&hope, Tuesday is Apple valley A&W, and I usually get to bass pro every other Thursday a few times. Have you checked out cruisingbruce.com ? If you check out the event calendar there are a bunch listed...Mike

Just scoped it out just now, looks like they don't do the Oakland beach one any more. Would like to hit the bass pro shop one, but I have work all day and school all night till we get the summer off early June. So almost there.

That some gnx style gauges in it I see?

86 Grand National, Hotwire kit, glowshift gauges, more asap.

Like that style. I'm eventually gonna put all new gauges in my car. I like the more modern style autometer.
