Finally new job and less worries

For a WHILE now I have been like a lot of people out there being layed off from CSX . My paint shop has been in the crapper due to the econemy but I finally got a job last week with a large paint shop outfit close to me. Its not my shop but I am enjoying it and the people are great to work with there. I can't tell you how much stress it took off me and I finally got a good nights sleep ! To all the ones on here out of work right now don't give up ! It took me a while but I finally found something ! Daniel

I may be in the same boat as you were. Since the Penske/Saturn deal fell through this week the dealer Ive been at for 11years will be closing in 6months.

Glad to hear it Daniel. I know your pain Rich. Granted it only took me 3 weeks to find work but it's at a lower wage, but it's still work after all. The side work helps though.

Thanks guys, it was a blessing for sure for me. The shop I went to also has a DYNO !!!!!! Can you say I'm in heaven lol. Look forward to getting the buick over there one saturday for sure ! Its a family owned buiness and been there for over 20 years. The owners are great people and willing to do whatever they need to do to help you make it as long as your willing to try. They have a great reputation for outstanding work so its also a job I can be proud to say I work at and that means a lot to. It is about a 35 mile drive for me one way but its worth it. 8-5 mon-fri also and that is awesome! Being I am well rounded from suspension to paint they have been flying me all over the shop here and there to help which is great to me, makes the time pass and something diffrent all the time instead over the same old thing over and over. Guys that are out of work, DON'T give up, keep looking !!!!!! Daniel

Happy for you Danny Ray! Glad things worked out. I'll miss you at Reynolds next month as I will not be able to make it as my tennis team will play at the Georgia State Combo USTA Tournament those same days. Will be the first Reynolds event I will miss.....:frown:

i was fuloaded from CSX back in feburary, just been doing anything to keep things going here. I did close my shop, just not worth it anymore around here. The last car I painted was almost 3 months ago now ! Happy where I am for now, the pay is ok and the job hours are great , plus I don't have to deal with whinney people that want a 7000 dollar paint job for 800 bucks anymore ! Daniel Ray
