..........advice.

before u try to make a pass watch the other cars for a dozen runs, this way u will know the routine. U dont want to be the guy in the turbo car that cant stage his car or did his burnout before u were supposed to.

Well, there is more than one way to skin a cat but this is the way I do it. I am sure others do it differently. You may know all this already as well but just incase. Make sure that you pull around the burnout box ( the water down area) then back the car into the water just the rear tires, I normally get one full rotation on the back tires in the water then go forward to the front edge of the wet area start the burn out process, when you start seeing decent smoke ease up on the brake and roll forward. As you roll forward the tires will roll into the dry area and the tires will grab making the car jerk and the usual squealing sound. Now you are ready to stage and go. There should be two sets of yellow light up on top of the tree, as you roll in, first the top one will trigger as you continue to roll forward slowly the second yellow light will trigger. Now you are ready to build boost and launch the car. As soon as the second yellow light is triggered, in matter of seconds the tree will come down. If you are no bracket racing and just doing time trials, you don’t have to go when the tree comes down to green, you cant actually wait until the car is ready to launch with the desired boost . The clock only starts when your front wheels starts moving.

As for the rest, good fuel, good tires, good tune, crank the boost up without any knock and you will be going home as a happy camper.

Good luck

Very good advice and I wish I had taken it back in 2000 when I made my first pass. Also try and relax, have a good time & learn the car. I would not try to kill it the first pass, but gradually get better as you learn. I haven't made a pass yet with this car, but I plan to make the first one nice and easy.

Don't set an et or mph goal this time out or you will be dissapointed. The link above on the gnttype site is very good. Race gas with that chip is a must and sticky tires are important.
