Okay, what is the correct way to hook this thing up? I am chasing down a hi boost problem that I think Ive narrowed down to the WG. Spoke to someone at Limit Engineering (not John) and he told me the easiest/cheapest thing to do was to hook up one of those fish tank pressure regulator valves. He said that they dont make a 2-vac port HD WG for my setup (hotair). Although I know that I could make a single vac port '86/87 style one work, he is still correct that the fish tank thing would be the cheapest. I think he told me to place it inline of the top port (furthest away from rod). Now that line goes from the port to the vac block. That sounds fine until I saw the drawing from gnttype.org that shows that top WG line with the valve teed into the other WG port line, rather than to the vac block (guess it gets capped off).
Well I got the valves (they look really rinky-dink, but I guess if they work:rolleyes: ), so anyone know how I should hook it up?

P.S. Sinful6, I already know about your boost controller;) :D (in fact my brother already ordered one a while back), I just need to see if this solves my problem first.

more info?

Can I get some more info on this fish tank regulator?

What else ya need to know? I need some info too.....like how to use the thing  :)
I know theres got to be a bunch of guys out there that have tried it at one point of time or another. As a matter of fact, all the guys running the valves sold by vendors or board members probably know how it works. Anyone?

klrv6, it is supposed to allow me to run more boost since I am having trouble running high boost with my non-HD WG. I dont know how or why this issue arose. I could have sworn I was having no problem running 22-23psi last year, but now I cant really run much over 20psi without the motor fluttering along with the boost gauge jumping back and forth. To say the least, performance progress has come to a deadstop and gone backwards (thus no new et/mph improvements since October last year :( ).
I got the valve, or actually valves (comes with two) at a pet store that primarily deals with fish, for a whopping $1.19. Package reads: Lee's Aquarium & Pet Products, Cat. No. 14104, "2-Way Plastic Valve". They are small blue plastic.

You install those piles of dung in the hose coming from the actuator can. The more pressure in that actuator diaphragm, the less boost (pushes on the rod, unseating the puck). When you bleed off this air, you get more boost. I don't think it'll fix your problem, since this issue came from nowhere it's probably a broken something, like flaky solenoid or wiring. HTH.

Your probably right. I'll give it a try and see what happens. Thanks
