Who runs without it and who doesn't run without it. Mine is off for now and at idle my car runs nice and cool or below a certain mph ( i.e. 30 or so ). if i'm on the highway the car will heat up, is it because of the flap not being there? Where can I get a replacement or something similar. Somone posted that they made a plate to go there with the cutouts for the intercooler pipes. I don't remember who it was. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Mine was missing when I bought my GN years ago.. Im assumming that it had a front mount at one point.. My car rana LOT cooler on the highway afyrt I found one and replaced it.. Id vote to replace it.. You will be happier..

You can probably make one out of thick cardboard/gasket type material. They were poorly designed to bolt on with plastic upholstery screws. At least that's how mine was attached to the grill.

IMO, it can't hurt cooling but the impact probably isn't significant.
