I rebuilt my motor a year or so ago and since rebuilding it I have swapped the transmission to a 400 Turbo with a trans brake. I also changed the flywheel to a SFI (JW "The Wheel"). Since chaging the flywheel I have been trying to figure out wheel this terrible shake or vibration is coming from.

I am left to assume that it is being caused by the Flywheel. My question is, Can the SFI flywheel be some how balanced to stock flywheel spec or would I be better off just removing and disassembling the engine and rebalancing it?

You didn't put an internally balanced flexplate on an exterally balanced motor did you? That would be bad.:(

Hummmm, I think that may be the case. I just checked the flywheels I bought and the spare I have is a 93007 and after checking the JW site I see that that part number is for a internally balanced motor.

If you have the stock crank in it, the part number is 93007X.

In my opinion, you will need to re-balance the rotating assembly if change flywheels, trust me, I know.
