What MAF pipe are you guys using ? and if you still use a MAF sensor does the LS1 3.5" work with no problem and then a 4" cone K&N filter ? also is there any clearance problems if you use a PTE front mount with a 70mm TB and the 4" MAF pipe ?

Thanks Jim :)

Got mine from Full Throttle. I moved the maf to the outlet of the intercooler and used a 90* piece of 3" pipe to connect the maf to the throttle body. I used a 2 1/2" to 3" adapter hose on the intercooler outlet and at the throttle body. Relocating the maf there would probably be a lot easier with a fmic since there's more piping to be able to mount the maf into. I connected the maf pipe to the 14" K&N. I also made a support similar to what the TTA uses to hold the pipe in position. I had to trim each end of the maf pipe so it would fit- not a big deal if you havew a chop saw. Just had to trim- fit- trim- fit until it cleared the generator pulley. HTH

I have Mark Hueffman's pipe and Big Mouth kit. The 3.5" LS1 works no problem with a 4" pipe to a 4" K&N. It's pretty tight but it works. You can put short pieces of 3.5" ID rubber on each end of the MAF that will allow you to connect the 4" ID rubber elbows on either end of it. You can also use a 4" to 3" reducer and stretch it onto the air filter side of the MAF. This is the way the Big Mouth kit comes from Mark.

The only problems I had were that the rubber elbow on the turbo pushes the upper radiator hose down *slightly*. Since clearance is already tight it looks a little scary. I ordered another hose just to keep one on hand. The other thing is the up pipe won't clear the 4" pipe and still connect to the stock height plenum. I got a Precision housing which is 5/8" higher and used 5/8" aluminum spacers to raise the vacuum piping up off the intake.

Oh yeah - pics here:
