Just came across ths and remembered a thread about Vac..

Works great on a race car, plus you have to flip the seals on your rear main and timing cover since now your pulling vacuum and dont want to flip them.

I ran a big electric pump off of a 84 diesel ford escort, it would draw 20 inches vacuum on my big block Chevy motor..nice thing was no oil leaks anywhere..and the condensation it would pull out of the motor was unreal.. And easy.. but the motor has to be sealed up really well to take advantage of it.
