Okay. What's the "best" way to mount/position a FP gauge, and which gauge works the best?
I've got a liquid filled gauge on the fuel rail, but I'm leery of it every since the fitting (brass?) split once and started spraying gas all over.
I'm thinking about a right angle fitting off of the rail and then a stainless hose going to the gauge somewhere, but I'm open to any and all suggestions.
I'd like to use the fewest connections possible. I have also managed to strip out the fittings on 2 stainless lines in the past.
Thanks

When I mounted the guage directly to the rail, I had the same issue it eventually leaked. I believe it had something to do with vibrations, so I then went to a stainless line which I looped back to it's connection and fixed it to the rail. I haven't had an issue sense then.

Get a quality adapter

I've had the same cracking problem with the lower quality adapters that are sold by most TR vendors. The solution is go to a hydraulics supply shop and get a quality Parker -4 run tee and NPT to JIC adapter. They are SOLID.. no weak ass copper tube that breaks from vibration. To really make it vibration proof, run a short section of AN stainless braided line off the rail and then hook the gauge up. It's a much better setup!!
