Ok heres the deal, I have put on two pairs of front shocks in the last six months and they have both gone bad. I installed a new set of stock replacement springs about 4 months ago just after the second set of shocks were installed and they didn't seem to help. I am getting ready to install some Bilstien shocks and see if they will help me or not. The two sets of shocks that went bad are a set of Monroe Sensatracs and a set of Gabriel shocks. Do I have some sort of suspension problem or did I just get two sets of bad shocks?

Thanks

My GN had a dead Gabriel shock on it when I bought it. Leaked oil.

My Bilsteins have held up fine on both cars.

One set is about 8 years old now. :)

hwfstru,

Gabriel shocks just plain suck. I had a set on my Jeep and they lasted just a few months. I replaced them with Bilsteins and have a great ride again. My GN however needs a full set of shocks again (KYBs on there now) and I think I'm going to go with a set of Bilsteins. But there is that little birdie telling me to look into adjustable drag shocks...a 90/10, 70/30, 50/50 set up would be great.

Erik
