I am installing a Walbro 340 pump. I got the rubber hose in the kit, but I'm not completely sure of what to do with it. I've read the archives, and I think I'm supposed to take off the black piece at the top of the assembly. The one with no wiring going to it, just stuck on. Then I think I'm supposed to cut the hose to run from where the black piece was to the new fuel pump. Am I right?
If so, what does that black piece do, and why do I not need it anymore.
