for my money its the DynoMax race magnums aluminized and welded. i bought a TH 2.75 from modern muscle car a long time ago and when i asked mike for his opinion on what mufflers to go with he said get the Dynomax. he was not wrong i dont regret that spend one bit.

I just ordered the exhaust on Monday and should see it by the end of the week. i'll let you know how it is. I ordered the walker ultraflow aluminized for mine. Seemed to be about the same as the magnaflow (not the bullet) in construction but it has a lifetime warranty. The Magnaflow and the Hooker Max flow only have 90 days or 1 yr warranties I'm pretty sure.

You have to run a offset inlet, center outlet muffler... correct?

What does the tail pipe look like? Clean looking? Obtrusive? Straight cut? Slash cut?

Thanks,
-Banning.

Well the muffler came in today. Looks good and its a full 3" inside, straight through. Just waiting on the exhaust now. Aren't the Magnums more of a bullit style rather than an oval? I think this exhaust requires an offset in/center out configuratin like the one I got.Maybe I am mistaken but I thought the magnums don't have any offset.

best bang for the buck if you dont need stainless ive had mine ummm 5years awsome

Johnny

Banning, we have an awsome singleshot 3", slash cut tip, with or without the race magnum straight through muff. Give me a call and I'll quote you a good price. It's being used on a few TSM cars with excellent performance results....

Mike's 3" exhaust arrived today. It has a slant cut at the exit, smooth bends. Outside diameter of the pipe is 3" and there is a heavy tab jwelded just aft of the axle bend. There is also a heavy piece of angled steel as a separate piece-some kind of bracket. Don't know how the 2 brackets are actually used to mount it. Maybe when its under the car it will be obvious. If you see this, Mike-maybe you can give a little explaination of how they are used? I took several pictures of the pipes and muffler on my kitchen floor (remodeling the house, too. I have no idea how to post the pictures here. Maybe someone can explain that to me,too. Or I can email them to anyone interested if you give me your address.

Hey Bob
Email me the pix of your exhaust. I am in the process of getting the same exhaust. I think I am going to get the Magnaflow muffler. A friend of mine has them on a GN and they sound awesome. (No DDRONE  ). If I don't have the money, I will end up with the Dynomax Welded Ultra (Wife has Income Tax check:mad: )

Hey Bob,,was checking out your site and I stumbled upon your Woodworking skills,,I have some Balisturs that the dog thought were chew toys,,could you possible duplicate them for a price,,I also have a wood grain lighted dash if you are interested...
Thanks Dennis

How long or short of a muffler do you need for Mike's pipes?

ps: do you know how much the shipping weight for the pipes were?

thanks... dave

Looks like a nice unit indeed. As far as performance I liked the ATR single shot muffler and cat-back. Sounded extremely mean and under WOT it would scream. I also have the edelbrock series muffler using the ATR piping. Its quieter and has a more deep and mellow sound and yet performs great also.

Dennis, I could probably duplicate them but I just do not have enough time. I have to get the kids outside to make major repairs to the athletic field house if the weather ever breaks plus we are building 3 different sheds for people along with the regular stuff we need to accomplish.I'm working on the car, drawing plans for a garage, then I have to build it so I can have a place to put the Buick at the end of the school year. Plus my wife has me doing all sorts of remodeling inside the house+ I tore my deck down and have to replace that+ I only got 2 sides of the house painted last summer++++++ Get the idea? I need 10 of me just to keep up! Do you have any vocational schools in your area? If so you might try that route to replace your dog's chew toys. I hate to refuse but I am afraid I'd never be able to get to it.
